1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION
1-2 WHEREAS, The wedding anniversary of two outstanding Texans
1-3 who have shared 50 happy and fulfilling years of marriage is
1-4 truly a memorable event worthy of special recognition; and
1-5 WHEREAS, Leonard Robinson and Maxene Parks were married on
1-6 December 27, 1944, in Rockwall, Texas; and
1-7 WHEREAS, On December 17, 1994, they returned to Rockwall
1-8 to the Shores Country Club where their children hosted a 50th
1-9 anniversary party for the happy couple; and
1-10 WHEREAS, More than 120 friends and family members gathered
1-11 to share in this joyous occasion; it was an event worth remembering;
1-12 and
1-13 WHEREAS, Both Leonard and Maxene are retired and enjoy
1-14 spending their time at their 15-acre ranch outside of Royse City;
1-15 they also enjoy traveling with the Rolling Nobles Camping Club
1-16 from the Hella Shrine in Garland; and
1-17 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Robinson have been blessed with three
1-18 children, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild who have
1-19 been the source of much pride and joy; now, therefore, be it
1-20 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
1-21 74th Legislature, hereby extend heartiest congratulations to
1-22 Mr. and Mrs. Leonard C. Robinson on the occasion of their golden
1-23 wedding anniversary and wish them many happy years to come; and,
2-1 be it further
2-2 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for them
2-3 as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
