    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
    1-3  recognize Mr. and Mrs. Ted E. Jones on the auspicious occasion
    1-4  of their 65th wedding anniversary; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Ted E. Jones and Maurine Witt were married on
    1-6  March 20, 1930, at the church known then as Oak Lawn Christian
    1-7  Church; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, A reception in their honor is being held on
    1-9  March 19, 1995, at the Northway Christian Church, which is the
   1-10  same church in which they were married; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, For the past 20 years, Mr. Jones has worked for
   1-12  Oshman's Sporting Goods Store; Mrs. Jones worked for Texas Bank
   1-13  and Trust as the Head of Stock Transfer for 17 years; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Jones have been blessed with a
   1-15  wonderful family; their four children, nine grandchildren, and
   1-16  12 great-grandchildren have been the source of much pride and
   1-17  joy; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, This devoted couple has weathered the years together
   1-19  with love and respect for each other, and their accomplishment is
   1-20  truly worthy of legislative recognition; now, therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-22  74th Legislature, hereby congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Ted E. Jones
   1-23  on the celebration of their 65th wedding anniversary; and, be it
    2-1  further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for them
    2-3  as an expression of the highest regard of the Texas Senate.
