    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, We are honored today to have in the gallery
    1-3  of the Senate a group of students from Brady High School in
    1-4  McCulloch County who are in the honors government program there;
    1-5  and
    1-6        WHEREAS, These students are all seniors who have a great
    1-7  interest in the daily workings of our state legislature; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, These students of today are the citizens, leaders,
    1-9  and statesmen of tomorrow; it is these individuals who must carry
   1-10  on the responsibilities of self-government; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, This group of young adults is eager to accept
   1-12  democracy's heritage and participate in the political process;
   1-13  and
   1-14        WHEREAS, It is highly commendable that Amber Appleton,
   1-15  Paula Bedgood, Troy Clifton, Daniel Comelander, Russell Dennis,
   1-16  Stacy Friar, Steven Gaines, Kevin Hutchins, Celeste LaFuente,
   1-17  Contessa Merren, Teleasha Merren, Lorenzo Mata, Michael Mays,
   1-18  Jennifer Mireles, Sonia Paniagua, Dustin Parks, Cody Peavy,
   1-19  Nickie Phillips, Wendall Robinson, Kryste Roddie, Tonya Rogers,
   1-20  Amber Roper, Tim Siler, Amy Smith, Caroline Starry, Amy Team,
   1-21  Brendan Weatherman, and Michelle Wilson are demonstrating, by
   1-22  their visit to the Senate, an interest in the processes of their
   1-23  state government; now, therefore, be it
    2-1        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-2  74th Legislature, hereby extend a cordial welcome to these
    2-3  students and that a copy of this Resolution, bearing the official
    2-4  seal of the Senate, be sent to them in appreciation of their visit.
