    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary is a splendid occasion
    1-3  and calls for much celebration; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, Winnona Watson and the Reverend W. N. Parrish of
    1-5  Tyler were married on February 16, 1945, in Houston, Texas; they
    1-6  have spent 50 years together in love and devotion; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, A retired Baptist minister, the Reverend Parrish has
    1-8  pastored for 50 years in Kapaau, Hawaii, Laird Hill, Mount Pleasant,
    1-9  LaPorte, and the Mount Vernon area; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, A former schoolteacher, Mrs. Parrish is retired now
   1-11  also; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, The family and friends of this beloved couple joined
   1-13  them on February 18, 1995, at a reception at Sylvania Baptist
   1-14  Church hosted by their children, Nancy and Lynn Wilson, Sue Parrish,
   1-15  Cheryl Parrish, and Patty and Rickey Hammontree; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, The loving respect they share with one another is
   1-17  evident to all who know them; now, therefore, be it
   1-18        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-19  74th Legislature, hereby congratulate the Reverend and Mrs. Parrish
   1-20  on the celebration of their 50th anniversary; and, be it further
   1-21        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for them
   1-22  as an expression of the highest regard of the Texas Senate.
