    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
    1-3  recognize Scott M. Nelsen of Aubrey, Texas, on achieving the
    1-4  rank of Eagle Scout; this fine young man joined the elite corps
    1-5  of Eagles recently and was presented the coveted Eagle Badge at
    1-6  a Court of Honor; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, Few achieve this distinguished honor; only two
    1-8  out of every 100 boys in the Boy Scout program ever attain the
    1-9  rank of Eagle Scout; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and
   1-11  promise, Scott advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second,
   1-12  First, Star, and Life classes before reaching Eagle Scout; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, This personable young man has displayed leadership
   1-14  through planning, developing, and conducting a service project;
   1-15  he is truly a shining example to his fellow Scouts and citizens
   1-16  of his community; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, In being named Eagle Scout, Scott Nelsen of
   1-18  Troop 337 brings great honor to himself, his family, his troop,
   1-19  his community, and his state; now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-21  74th Legislature, hereby commend Scott Nelsen on receiving
   1-22  this prestigious honor and congratulate him on his outstanding
   1-23  achievement; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-2  Eagle Scout Nelsen as an expression of high regard and esteem
    2-3  from the Texas Senate.
