    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Meyer of Marlin placed great faith
    1-3  and trust in the future when they married on December 30, 1944, and
    1-4  they have been amply rewarded as they recently celebrated their
    1-5  golden wedding anniversary; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the years
    1-7  of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Meyer have steadfastly embraced
    1-8  traditional family and moral values; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their
   1-10  love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and
   1-11  sorrows of everyday living; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Meyer have been blessed with a
   1-13  wonderful family; their children, Danny and Karen Meyer and
   1-14  Joe and Evelyn Summers, and their four grandchildren have been
   1-15  a source of much pride and joy; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Meyer shared their happiness with their
   1-17  family and friends at a dinner, church service, and reception at
   1-18  Grace Lutheran Church on December 31, 1994; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Meyer is
   1-20  truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-22  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
   1-23  Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Meyer on their 50th wedding anniversary; and,
    2-1  be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for this
    2-3  distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in their lives.
