No. 380 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to 1-3 recognize Frances Short who is retiring after 40 years of loyal 1-4 service with Falls Community Hospital; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Frances Short began her successful career with Falls 1-6 Community Hospital when she joined the bookkeeping department; she 1-7 has served as credit manager, social worker, and patient account 1-8 manager; and 1-9 WHEREAS, During her tenure, she has witnessed many changes 1-10 in medical accounting trends and has watched the hospital grow and 1-11 procure new equipment; the hospital now has a CAT scan and the 1-12 average patient count per month has risen from 660 in 1991 to 2,000 1-13 in 1995; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Since joining Falls Community Hospital, Frances has 1-15 handled her responsibilities with exceptional skill and dedication; 1-16 and 1-17 WHEREAS, A talented and resourceful employee, Frances Short 1-18 has had a positive influence on the hospital and the residents of 1-19 Falls County; and 1-20 WHEREAS, An exemplary individual with an engaging 1-21 personality, she is beloved by her colleagues at work, and her 1-22 full-time presence at Falls Community Hospital will be missed; 1-23 co-workers are grateful, however, that they will continue to 2-1 enjoy her companionship two days a week; now, therefore, be it 2-2 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-3 74th Legislature, hereby commend Frances Short for her many years 2-4 of distinguished service with Falls Community Hospital and extend 2-5 to her best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it 2-6 further 2-7 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her 2-8 as a token of regard from the Texas Senate. 2-9 ______________________________________ 2-10 President of the Senate 2-11 I hereby certify that the above 2-12 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-13 on March 9, 1995. 2-14 ______________________________________ 2-15 Secretary of the Senate 2-16 ______________________________________ 2-17 Member, Texas Senate
