    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The City of Hearne recently honored Mary Sisson
    1-3  on the occasion of her retirement after 22 years of notable
    1-4  contributions to the community; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure with the Hearne Police
    1-6  Department and the Hearne Municipal Court, Mrs. Sisson worked
    1-7  tirelessly and provided exceptional service to the citizens of
    1-8  Hearne; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, She earned the admiration and gratitude of her
   1-10  associates for her devotion to her duties and her ability to work
   1-11  well with others; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Mrs. Sisson began her career with the city on
   1-13  May 24, 1972, as the first dispatcher with a salary of 50 cents
   1-14  an hour; in May, 1974, she was made Municipal Court Clerk and
   1-15  continued her duties as dispatcher along with her new duties which
   1-16  included keeping up with docket books, tickets, and warrants and
   1-17  attending court once a week; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, When the police department was separated from the
   1-19  municipal court in 1991, Mary Sisson became a full-time court clerk;
   1-20  her broad experience and versatility have been invaluable in her
   1-21  position, and she has made outstanding contributions to the office
   1-22  of court clerk; and
   1-23        WHEREAS, Her love for people, her willingness to perform
    2-1  every task assigned to her, and her pleasant manner have endeared
    2-2  her to all who worked with her through the years and she will be
    2-3  deeply missed; now, therefore, be it
    2-4        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-5  74th Legislature, hereby express its deep appreciation to
    2-6  Mary Sisson on the momentous occasion of her retirement and
    2-7  extend best wishes to her for a most rewarding future; and, be
    2-8  it further
    2-9        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   2-10  her as an expression of the high regard of the Texas Senate.
