    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
    1-3  congratulate Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority Board member
    1-4  Harry Gee, Jr., for his many impressive accomplishments; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, One of Houston's most prominent civic leaders and
    1-6  immigration attorneys, he was honored at a dinner given by the
    1-7  Gee Family Association on February 25, 1995; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, A member of a large extended family, Mr. Gee has
    1-9  his roots deep within the Houston community; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, A past president of the Asian Bar Association, he
   1-11  earned his undergraduate degree from Rice University and his law
   1-12  degree from The University of Texas School of Law; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, A man who believes in giving back to his community,
   1-14  Mr. Gee helped raise funds this year to sponsor an endowment for
   1-15  Asian Studies at Rice University; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, A distinguished gentleman who has made countless
   1-17  contributions to his community and a man of integrity, strength,
   1-18  and generosity, he willingly gives of his time and energies to help
   1-19  others; now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-21  74th Legislature, hereby commend Harry Gee, Jr., for his active
   1-22  leadership and civic responsibility; and, be it further
   1-23        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him
    2-1  as an expression of the highest esteem of the Texas Senate.
