    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to honor
    1-3  the coaches and members of the Silsbee High School Lady Tigers
    1-4  Basketball Team at the conclusion of an outstanding season in which
    1-5  they advanced to the state finals in 4A basketball; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of head coach Kim Albers
    1-7  and the team's assistant coaches, Sabrina Stricklan and Kelly Drake,
    1-8  the Silsbee High School girls basketball team played a season of
    1-9  which they can be proud; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, The Lady Tigers had emerged victorious from a Class
   1-11  4A semifinals meet with Fredericksburg's Battlin' Billies with a
   1-12  score of 59 to 32; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Riding a 33-game winning streak, the Silsbee Lady
   1-14  Tigers looked forward to competing in the 4A championship game
   1-15  against Cleburne; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, In the heart-rending loss to Cleburne team players
   1-17  Jessica Barnes, Ro'shunda Fobbs, Tiffany Graham, Alicia Lively,
   1-18  Brandi McCain, Linda Powell, Amanda Sells, Ashlee Simpkins,
   1-19  LaQuan Stallworth, and Lashundra Watkins; and their managers,
   1-20  Erica Frazier, Sekeia Jones, and Allison Ruggles showed that
   1-21  they had the spirit and fight of true champions; now, therefore,
   1-22  be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-1  74th Legislature, hereby commend the Silsbee Lady Tigers for their
    2-2  outstanding season and their championship form; and, be it further
    2-3        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
    2-4  Silsbee High School Lady Tigers Basketball Team as an expression
    2-5  of the high regard of the Texas Senate.
