    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                           Teddy Max Daniels
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
    1-6  of Lubbock in mourning the loss of Teddy Max Daniels who died
    1-7  February 16, 1995, at the age of 62; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born February 11, 1933, in Peacock, Texas,
    1-9  Teddy Daniels attended Texas Tech University and Wayland Baptist
   1-10  College; he served in the United States Navy during the Korean War
   1-11  and married Nina Patton on December 31, 1954; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Mr. Daniels was dedicated to his work with the
   1-13  Lubbock Police Department from 1955 until he retired in 1994; he
   1-14  served as a patrolman, juvenile officer, and homicide detective;
   1-15  he was also a tactical unit and liaison officer to the Lubbock
   1-16  County Criminal District Attorney's Office; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Teddy Daniels was an exemplary gentleman and was
   1-18  respected for his many accomplishments; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, A well-known community leader, he was a member
   1-20  of the Lubbock Professional Police Officers Association and the
   1-21  Lubbock County Peace Officers Association; he was also a member
   1-22  of MacKenzie Masonic Lodge 1327; and
   1-23        WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity, he
    2-1  gave unselfishly of his time to others, and his wisdom, warmth,
    2-2  and valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him;
    2-3  and
    2-4        WHEREAS, A devout Christian, Mr. Daniels was a member of the
    2-5  First Baptist Church and the Downtown Sunday School Class; and
    2-6        WHEREAS, Teddy Daniels was a devoted husband and father, and
    2-7  he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his
    2-8  family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
    2-9        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   2-10  74th Legislature, hereby extend condolences to the bereaved family
   2-11  of Teddy Max Daniels:  his wife, Nina Patton Daniels; his daughter,
   2-12  Karen Daniels; his brothers, Bill Daniels and Jerry Daniels; and
   2-13  his sister, Jo Stone; and, be it further
   2-14        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
   2-15  members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from
   2-16  the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it
   2-17  do so in memory of Teddy Max Daniels.
