    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                            Rodger H. White
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
    1-6  of Austin in mourning the loss of Rodger H. White who died
    1-7  February 23, 1995, at the age of 64; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born in Kerrville on September 4, 1930, Rodger White
    1-9  received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering in 1966
   1-10  from The University of Texas at Austin; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Mr. White was dedicated to his work with the
   1-12  City of Austin Water and Wastewater Department from 1950
   1-13  until his retirement in 1988; he served as a superintendant of
   1-14  wastewater collection, a chief engineer, and an assistant director
   1-15  of operations and maintenance; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, A talented and resourceful individual, he was
   1-17  responsible for the concept and design of the crosstown sewer
   1-18  intercept that was completed in 1976, and he was honored by the
   1-19  mayor in 1982 by a Rodger H. White Day which was sponsored in
   1-20  gratitude for his dedication to public service; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, An exemplary gentleman, Rodger White was respected
   1-22  in the community for his many accomplishments; and
   1-23        WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity, he
    2-1  gave unselfishly of his time to others, and his wisdom, warmth,
    2-2  and valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and
    2-3        WHEREAS, Rodger White was a devoted husband and father, and
    2-4  he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his
    2-5  family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
    2-6        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-7  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
    2-8  bereaved family of Rodger H. White:  his wife, Norma White;
    2-9  his sons, Keith White and Lance White; and his brother and
   2-10  sister-in-law, Bill and Margaret White; and, be it further
   2-11        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   2-12  the members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy
   2-13  from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day,
   2-14  it do so in memory of Rodger H. White.
