    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                           Leonard R. DuBose
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
    1-6  of Lubbock in mourning the loss of Leonard R. DuBose who died
    1-7  February 24, 1995, at the age of 62; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born in Pear Valley, Leonard DuBose served in the
    1-9  United States Air Force during the Korean War; he married
   1-10  Margaret Foster Coursey on April 18, 1981; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Mr. DuBose was dedicated to his work as a firefighter
   1-12  with the Lubbock Fire Department until his retirement; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, He was an exemplary and distinguished gentleman and
   1-14  was respected in the community for his many accomplishments; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity, he
   1-16  gave unselfishly of his time to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and
   1-17  valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, A devout Christian, Mr. DuBose was a member of Faith
   1-19  Baptist Church; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, Leonard DuBose was a devoted husband, father, and
   1-21  grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured
   1-22  forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-1  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
    2-2  family of Leonard R. DuBose:  his wife, Margaret Coursey DuBose;
    2-3  his sons, Ken DuBose, James DuBose, and David DuBose; his daughter,
    2-4  Kathy Lovejoy; his mother, Effie DuBose; and his stepsons,
    2-5  Brian Coursey, Jim Coursey, and Brad Coursey; and, be it further
    2-6        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
    2-7  members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
    2-8  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so
    2-9  in memory of Leonard DuBose.
