    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                           Henry Overby, Jr.
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
    1-6  of Caldwell in mourning the death of Henry "Frank" Overby, Jr.,
    1-7  who died January 25, 1995, at the age of 88; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, He was born December 18, 1906, in Bartlett, to
    1-9  Henry Frank Overby, Sr., and Lottie Brooks Overby; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, On May 5, 1928, he married Mabel Hunt in Bartlett,
   1-11  Texas, and together they created a happy home life for their two
   1-12  children; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Mr. Overby worked for Mutual Lumber Company for
   1-14  37 years in Bartlett, Georgetown, and Caldwell until 1967 when
   1-15  he began his own business; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Frank Overby owned and operated Overby Lumber
   1-17  Company until he sold the company to Woodson Lumber Company; he
   1-18  continued to work there until his retirement in 1981; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, A man of strong religious conviction, he was a
   1-20  lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Caldwell; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, A distinguished gentleman with countless friends,
   1-22  Mr. Overby delighted in playing dominoes, fishing, and drinking
   1-23  coffee with friends; and
    2-1        WHEREAS, His wise counsel and good judgment will be greatly
    2-2  missed and remembered with gratitude by those whose lives he
    2-3  touched; now, therefore, be it
    2-4        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-5  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
    2-6  members of his family:  his wife, Mabel Hunt Overby; his daughter,
    2-7  Shirley Beth Overby; and his son, Billy Frank Overby; and, be it
    2-8  further
    2-9        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for his
   2-10  family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate,
   2-11  and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
   2-12  Henry "Frank" Overby, Jr.
