    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary is a splendid occasion
    1-3  and calls for much celebration; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, The Honorable and Mrs. Ed Harris have reason to
    1-5  rejoice; since their marriage on March 25, 1945, in San Diego,
    1-6  California, they have spent 50 years together in love and
    1-7  devotion; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, When Ed Harris and June Brickson met, he was in
    1-9  the United States Navy Aircorps and she was in the United States
   1-10  Marines; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Judge Harris served in the Texas Legislature for 14
   1-12  years before becoming a district judge; this eminent jurist is now
   1-13  retired and the loving couple can spend more time together; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, The loving respect June and Ed share with one
   1-15  another is evident to all who are fortunate enough to know them;
   1-16  and
   1-17        WHEREAS, This happy couple has been blessed with a wonderful
   1-18  family; their children, Ed and Ann, have been the source of much
   1-19  pride and joy; now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-21  74th Legislature, hereby join the relatives and friends of
   1-22  The Honorable and Mrs. Ed J. Harris in extending to them best
   1-23  wishes and congratulations on their golden wedding anniversary;
    2-1  and, be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-3  this distinguished couple as a memento of this grand occasion.
