    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride
    1-3  in recognizing Alexander Liang and Katherine Chen on the joyful
    1-4  occasion of their marriage which will take place Saturday,
    1-5  June 24, 1995; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The blessed ceremony will be held at the Doubletree
    1-7  Hotel-Post Oak in Houston, with over 400 people from the Chinese
    1-8  community participating; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, The bride and groom are both from distinguished
   1-10  families, and relatives and friends are elated the two families
   1-11  will now be united through marriage; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, The Texas Senate is pleased to send warmest
   1-13  congratulations to Alexander and Katherine as they begin their
   1-14  new life together, sharing in mutual love and respect; now,
   1-15  therefore, be it
   1-16        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-17  74th Legislature, hereby honor Alexander Liang and Katherine Chen
   1-18  on the occasion of this special and sacred event and express
   1-19  best wishes for much happiness in the future; and, be it further
   1-20        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared
   1-21  for them as an expression of regard from the Texas Senate.
