1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION
1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in
1-3 recognizing the members of the Burton family on the grand occasion
1-4 of their July 4, 1995, family reunion; and
1-5 WHEREAS, The event will take place at the Holiday Inn Crown
1-6 Plaza Galleria in Houston and will be the family's 12th reunion
1-7 celebration; and
1-8 WHEREAS, The Burton family members are successful men and
1-9 women who have contributed greatly to their communities through
1-10 their leadership, professionalism, and concern for others; and
1-11 WHEREAS, They believe strongly in traditional values, are
1-12 productive members of their societies, and are exemplary citizens
1-13 who instill the virtues of love and hard work in their children;
1-14 and
1-15 WHEREAS, The 1995 reunion is a manifestation of their
1-16 belief in family unity, loyalty, and pride in one's heritage; now,
1-17 therefore, be it
1-18 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
1-19 74th Legislature, hereby extend to the members of the Burton
1-20 family best wishes for a joyous and memorable family reunion; and,
1-21 be it further
1-22 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for them
1-23 as a memento of this special occasion.
