    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great
    1-3  pleasure in recognizing the Texas Federation of Republican Women
    1-4  and welcoming the members to the State Capitol on their Legislative
    1-5  Day, March 30, 1995; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Legislative Day is a biennial tradition during each
    1-7  legislative session and is a major event to raise money for the
    1-8  Cleo Bohl's Fund; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, The Texas Federation of Republican Women is
   1-10  celebrating its 40th Anniversary as a federated member of the
   1-11  National Federation of Republican Women in October, 1995; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, The Texas club was organized 17 years after the
   1-13  formation of the National Federation of Republican Women in 1938
   1-14  and has grown to become one of the most effective in the national
   1-15  organization; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, The dedication, hard work, and untold hours of
   1-17  volunteer service by these remarkable women helped ensure the
   1-18  election of candidates to state, county, city, and national
   1-19  offices; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, Under the splendid leadership of President
   1-21  Marcia Saunders, who has diligently promoted the growth of
   1-22  membership within its ranks, the organization has successfully
   1-23  increased its growth to the largest number in its history; now,
    2-1  therefore, be it
    2-2        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-3  74th Legislature, hereby honor President Marcia Saunders and the
    2-4  entire Texas Federation of Republican Women delegation as they
    2-5  gather in Austin to participate in their 1995 Legislative Day;
    2-6  and, be it further
    2-7        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be presented to
    2-8  this distinguished group as an expression of the admiration and
    2-9  appreciation of the Texas Senate.
