No. 574 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas was pleased 1-3 and proud to welcome Gloria Foxworth, Mandy Foxworth, and 1-4 Michelle McNamara who visited the State Capitol on March 13, 1995; 1-5 and 1-6 WHEREAS, Gloria Foxworth is the extremely capable secretary 1-7 of the Interpreter Training Program Office of Houston Community 1-8 College which is based in the central campus and was established 1-9 in the 1970s; and 1-10 WHEREAS, She has worked in this capacity for over a year; she 1-11 is bilingual in Spanish and English and is learning sign language; 1-12 and 1-13 WHEREAS, For this visit to the Capitol, Gloria was accompanied 1-14 by her daughter, Mandy Foxworth, and her niece, Michelle McNamara; 1-15 and 1-16 WHEREAS, Mandy is a sophomore in high school in the Houston 1-17 Independent School District, and Michelle is a student at American 1-18 University in Washington, D.C., majoring in International Relations; 1-19 and 1-20 WHEREAS, It was a genuine pleasure to have this distinguished 1-21 trio of guests in the Capital City, and it is sincerely hoped that 1-22 their visit here was a most enjoyable one; now, therefore, be it 1-23 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-1 74th Legislature, extend a warm welcome to these three visitors 2-2 to the State Capitol; and, be it further 2-3 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-4 these gracious visitors as an expression of the high regard of 2-5 the Texas Senate. 2-6 ______________________________________ 2-7 President of the Senate 2-8 I hereby certify that the above 2-9 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-10 on April 3, 1995. 2-11 ______________________________________ 2-12 Secretary of the Senate 2-13 ______________________________________ 2-14 Member, Texas Senate
