    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
    1-3  recognize Bryan Police Department Reserve Officer Ronnie Schultz,
    1-4  who was recently named Reserve Officer of the Year by the Bryan
    1-5  Police Department; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Reserve Officer Schultz joined the force in
    1-7  1991, and since that time he has worked nearly 1,000 hours for
    1-8  the department in addition to attending meetings and training
    1-9  hours; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, This esteemed police officer is one of those
   1-11  courageous few who risk their lives every day to protect the
   1-12  homes, neighborhoods, and communities of our citizens; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Reserve Officer Schultz's untiring efforts to
   1-14  combat crime underscore his commitment to making the community
   1-15  a safer place to live, work, and raise a family; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, His professionalism and skill in handling
   1-17  sensitive situations have earned him a place as a respected
   1-18  member of the department; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, This exemplary law enforcement officer is truly
   1-20  deserving of the honor bestowed on him; now, therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-22  74th Legislature, hereby congratulate Reserve Officer Ronnie Schultz
   1-23  for being named Reserve Officer of the Year by the Bryan Police
    2-1  Department; and, be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared
    2-3  for him as an expression of the high esteem of the Texas Senate.
