No. 597 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 In Memory 1-3 of 1-4 Elizabeth Finke 1-5 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the 1-6 citizens of El Paso in mourning the loss of Elizabeth Finke who 1-7 died February 26, 1995, at the age of 66; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Devoted to her family, she is remembered for the 1-9 affection, confidence, and loyalty she inspired in those with whom 1-10 she was associated; and 1-11 WHEREAS, During her lifetime, she established a permanent 1-12 place for herself in the hearts of those who lived and worked with 1-13 her; and 1-14 WHEREAS, In all her activities Elizabeth Finke always gave 1-15 100 percent of her care, warmth, and abilities; El Paso was 1-16 fortunate to count this lady as one of its most distinguished 1-17 citizens; and 1-18 WHEREAS, The community will deeply miss this woman whose 1-19 wisdom and experience were invaluable to those who had known her 1-20 throughout the years; and 1-21 WHEREAS, She leaves a legacy of compassion and commitment 1-22 that will be remembered with gratitude by her family and loved 1-23 ones; now, therefore, be it 2-1 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-2 74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to her 2-3 husband, Gene Finke; and, be it further 2-4 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-5 her loved ones as an expression of deepest sympathy from the 2-6 Texas Senate, and when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so 2-7 in memory of Elizabeth Finke. 2-8 ______________________________________ 2-9 President of the Senate 2-10 I hereby certify that the above 2-11 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-12 on April 3, 1995, by a rising vote. 2-13 ______________________________________ 2-14 Secretary of the Senate 2-15 ______________________________________ 2-16 Member, Texas Senate
