    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, A 55th wedding anniversary is a splendid occasion
    1-3  and calls for much celebration; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, Ruth Bench and Bill Duncan of Greenville, Texas,
    1-5  have reason to rejoice; since their marriage on March 24, 1940,
    1-6  in Durant, Oklahoma, Mr. and Mrs. Duncan have spent 55 years
    1-7  together in loyalty and devotion; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, The family and friends of this beloved couple
    1-9  joined them on March 24, 1995, to congratulate them and share in
   1-10  their warmth and joy; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, The loving respect Ruth and Bill share with one
   1-12  another is evident to all who are fortunate enough to know them;
   1-13  and
   1-14        WHEREAS, This happy couple has been blessed with a
   1-15  wonderful family:  their children, Robert and Carlene Duncan,
   1-16  Nita and Jerry Stone, and Linda and Jerry Sims; and their nine
   1-17  grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; now, therefore, be it
   1-18        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-19  74th Legislature, hereby join the relatives and friends of
   1-20  Mr. and Mrs. Bill Duncan in extending them best wishes and
   1-21  congratulations on their 55th wedding anniversary; and, be it
   1-22  further
   1-23        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-1  this distinguished couple as a memento of this grand occasion.
