    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Seventh grade students from Saint Rita School will
    1-3  be visiting the Texas Senate on April 12, 1995; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, The students of today are the citizens, leaders, and
    1-5  statesmen of tomorrow who will carry on with the responsibilities
    1-6  of our democratic heritage; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, These outstanding young people have been studying
    1-8  Texas history and government all year in preparation for this
    1-9  annual trip; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, This group of young adults is eager to accept
   1-11  democracy's heritage and participate in the political process;
   1-12  and
   1-13        WHEREAS, It is highly commendable that these young people
   1-14  are demonstrating, by their visit to the Senate, an interest in
   1-15  the processes of their state government; now, therefore, be it
   1-16        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-17  74th Legislature, hereby welcome the students of Saint Rita
   1-18  School and extend to them a warm welcome; and, be it further
   1-19        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, bearing the official
   1-20  seal of the Senate, be prepared for them in appreciation of their
   1-21  visit.
