    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                              Larry Lina
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of Texas joins the citizens of Caldwell
    1-6  in mourning the loss of Larry Lina who died March 15, 1995, at the
    1-7  age of 50; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born on March 3, 1945, in Pasadena, Texas, he was
    1-9  the son of Dorothy Jennings Lina and the late Eugene Albert Lina;
   1-10  and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Larry was a 1964 graduate of Caldwell High School
   1-12  and was a Master Electrician; on September 26, 1964, he married
   1-13  his high school sweetheart, Frances Jane Trimm; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, In 1976, Larry started his own business, Lina's
   1-15  Refrigeration and Air Conditioning; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, A man who loved the outdoors, Larry loved to
   1-17  fish and hunt and was a member of the National Rifle Association,
   1-18  Deanville Gun Club, Texas Gun Club, Burleson County Fair Association,
   1-19  and Caldwell Cemetery Association; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, Active in the life of his community, Larry
   1-21  sponsored numerous Caldwell Little League teams and greatly enjoyed
   1-22  all sports, as well as gardening and playing cards; and
   1-23        WHEREAS, Well known as a man who gave generously of his
    2-1  time, he donated his expertise and talents whenever they were
    2-2  needed; he was happy to help out in every circumstance; and
    2-3        WHEREAS, A devout Christian, he was a member of the
    2-4  Providence Baptist Church; and
    2-5        WHEREAS, Larry leaves a legacy of compassion and
    2-6  commitment that will remain cherished by those who lived and worked
    2-7  with him; his absence will be keenly felt; now, therefore, be it
    2-8        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-9  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the members
   2-10  of his family:  his wife, Frances Trimm Lina; his daughters,
   2-11  Michelle Lina and Paula Lina; his mother, Dorothy Lina; and his
   2-12  grandmother, Beulah Holmes; and, be it further
   2-13        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared
   2-14  for his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
   2-15  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it
   2-16  do so in memory of Larry Lina.
