    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, It is indeed an honor for the Texas Senate to
    1-3  recognize the staff of the Bryan Eagle for capturing nine
    1-4  newspaper awards at the annual Texas Associated Press Managing
    1-5  Editors Convention in Galveston; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The talented and hardworking staff members are
    1-7  devoted to giving their community the best possible newspaper,
    1-8  and their superb efforts have earned them the accolades of their
    1-9  colleagues; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Eagle photographer Mike Mulvey won an honorable
   1-11  mention in sports photography for a shot of a Texas A&M football
   1-12  game; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, The Eagle won six other honorable mentions in
   1-14  tough competition in various news categories with newspapers
   1-15  with comparable circulation from around the state; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Each awards category required a combined team
   1-17  effort from the members of the staff, who are to be commended
   1-18  for the excellence of their work; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, The awards are a tribute to the men and women
   1-20  who have contributed to the enduring success of the Bryan Eagle;
   1-21  now, therefore, be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-23  74th Legislature, hereby extend hearty congratulations to
    2-1  award winner Mike Mulvey for his excellent photographic work
    2-2  in the Bryan Eagle and extend to him best wishes for continued
    2-3  success in his future endeavors; and, be it further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-5  Mr. Mulvey as a memento of his outstanding accomplishment.
