    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                          Alicia Saenz Truan
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
    1-6  of Kingsville in mourning the loss of Alicia Saenz Truan who died
    1-7  February 21, 1995, at the age of 86; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born May 18, 1908, on Palo Blanco Ranch, Alicia
    1-9  was the eldest of four daughters of Rufino Saenz and
   1-10  Nazaria Guerra-Saenz; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Her marriage to the late Carlos Truan was a strong
   1-12  and enduring union that brought them both much happiness; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Alicia Truan was dedicated to her work as a
   1-14  homemaker and was respected in the community for her many
   1-15  accomplishments; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, She was an exemplary lady and a devout Christian
   1-17  who was a member of Saint Martin's Catholic Church; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, Warmhearted, strong, and generous, Alicia Truan
   1-19  gave unselfishly of her time to others, and her wisdom and valued
   1-20  counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew her; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, Alicia Truan was a devoted wife, mother, and
   1-22  grandmother, and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured
   1-23  forever by her family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
    2-1        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-2  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
    2-3  bereaved family of Alicia Saenz Truan:  her son and daughter-in-law,
    2-4  Raul Rene Truan and Vita Truan; her daughter-in-law, Bitty Truan;
    2-5  and her six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two
    2-6  great-great-grandchildren; and, be it further
    2-7        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
    2-8  members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
    2-9  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so
   2-10  in memory of Alicia Saenz Truan.
