    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Texans are widely known for their civic pride and
    1-3  social involvement; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, The Texas Senate is especially pleased to recognize
    1-5  Steve Jarrard for his contributions to the Cameron community; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, He was named the recipient of the Outstanding
    1-7  Volunteer Award by the Cameron Area Chamber of Commerce at its
    1-8  recent annual dinner; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, A prominent area civic leader, Mr. Jarrard operates
   1-10  a surveying company in Cameron; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, A man who believes in giving back to his town and
   1-12  area, Mr. Jarrard is the organizer of the Community Service
   1-13  Organization which returns money from its fund raisers to community
   1-14  projects; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Always willing to give of his time and energy to a
   1-16  worthy cause, he is highly regarded by his fellow citizens; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, A man with strong religious convictions, he is an
   1-18  active member of the First United Methodist Church in Cameron; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, Cameron is truly fortunate to count Steve Jarrard
   1-20  as one of its most dedicated leaders; now, therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-22  74th Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to Steve Jarrard
   1-23  on the occasion of his recent and well-deserved award; and, be
    2-1  it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-3  him, under the official seal of the Senate, as an expression
    2-4  of the high regard of the Texas Senate.
