    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                           Travis Oscar Box
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
    1-6  of Carrizo Springs in mourning the loss of Travis Oscar Box who
    1-7  died March 14, 1995, at the age of 71; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born May 27, 1923, in Llano County, Travis Box moved
    1-9  to Carrizo Springs at the age of 12; he served in the Merchant
   1-10  Marines and married his wife, Marion Lou, on July 9, 1949; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Mr. Box was a prominent rancher who was dedicated to
   1-12  his work raising cattle; he was actively involved in 4-H Club and
   1-13  was a life member of the San Antonio Live Stock Show; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, An exemplary and distinguished gentleman, Mr. Box
   1-15  was respected in the community for his many accomplishments and
   1-16  was beloved by his friends; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity, he
   1-18  gave unselfishly of his time to others, and his wisdom, warmth,
   1-19  and valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him;
   1-20  and
   1-21        WHEREAS, Travis Box was a devoted husband, father, and
   1-22  grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured
   1-23  forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
    2-1        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-2  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
    2-3  family of Travis Oscar Box:  his wife, Marion Lou Box; his daughters
    2-4  and sons-in-law, Kimberlea and Jack Ray, Kelie Jane and Jim Dyer,
    2-5  and Kenzie Lou and Steve Arnold; his son, Travis Kip Box; his
    2-6  sisters, Faydale Allen and Opal Burns; his brother, Ward Box; his
    2-7  mother-in-law, Winnie F. White; and his 10 grandchildren; and, be
    2-8  it further
    2-9        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
   2-10  members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
   2-11  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so
   2-12  in memory of Travis Box.
