    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to recognize
    1-3  Jeffrey Hugh Taggart, Jr., of Brownwood on achieving the rank of
    1-4  Eagle Scout; this fine young man joined the elite corps of Eagles
    1-5  recently and will be presented the coveted Eagle Badge at a Court
    1-6  of Honor to be held May 12, 1995; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, Few achieve this distinguished honor; only two out
    1-8  of every 100 young men in the Boy Scout program ever attain the rank
    1-9  of Eagle Scout; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and
   1-11  promise, Jeff advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second,
   1-12  First, Star, and Life classes before reaching Eagle Scout; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, This personable young man has displayed leadership
   1-14  through planning, developing, and conducting a service project;
   1-15  he is truly a shining example to his fellow Scouts and citizens
   1-16  of his community; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, In being named Eagle Scout, Jeff brings great honor
   1-18  to himself, his family, his troop, his community, and his state;
   1-19  now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-21  74th Legislature, hereby commend Jeffrey Hugh Taggart of Troop 12
   1-22  on receiving this prestigious honor and congratulate him on his
   1-23  outstanding achievement; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-2  Eagle Scout Taggart as an expression of high regard and esteem
    2-3  from the Texas Senate.
