No. 792 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, Jane Bradley Fucheck is retiring from Seton Catholic 1-3 Junior High School on April 27, 1995, after serving as Assistant 1-4 Principal and Principal for the past 10 years; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Mrs. Fucheck has been in the field of education for 1-6 over 25 years, having served as a teacher at Garden Oaks Elementary 1-7 and Durham Elementary in the Houston Independent School District and 1-8 Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Elementary School before going to Seton; 1-9 and 1-10 WHEREAS, When Mrs. Fucheck became Principal, Seton was about 1-11 to close its doors, but now, under her leadership, the school is 1-12 flourishing with an enrollment of 360 students and a waiting list 1-13 for next year; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Mrs. Fucheck has always had a theme each year that 1-15 reminded students of respect of self, school, environment, parents, 1-16 teachers, and peers; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Mrs. Fucheck always tried to attend all of the 1-18 extracurricular activities in which her students were participating, 1-19 whether sports or academic, to show her support and enthusiasm; and 1-20 WHEREAS, Mrs. Fucheck has always encouraged the students to 1-21 be self-reliant, while developing strong spiritual and leadership 1-22 skills; and 1-23 WHEREAS, Mrs. Fucheck has served as Chairman of the Northern 2-1 Region of Catholic Principals for two years; and 2-2 WHEREAS, Jane and Frank Fucheck will have been married for 2-3 35 years this June and have three children, William Fucheck, 2-4 Glenn Fucheck, and Lynn Fucheck Ray, and two grandchildren, Bradley 2-5 and Morgan Fucheck; and 2-6 WHEREAS, The retirement of Mrs. Fucheck will be a great loss 2-7 not only to Seton but to all the Catholic schools in the Diocese of 2-8 Galveston-Houston; and 2-9 WHEREAS, Her many friends and admirers hope that Mrs. Fucheck 2-10 enjoys her retirement, her family, and her leisure time with 2-11 friends and that she will always remember the time she shared with 2-12 the students, teachers, and parents of Seton; now, therefore, be it 2-13 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-14 74th Legislature, hereby recognize Mrs. Jane Fucheck for a life 2-15 dedicated to teaching children to have high expectations for their 2-16 academic, moral, and ethical development; and, be it further 2-17 RESOLVED, That the Texas Senate join with Frank, William, 2-18 Lynn, Glenn, Bradley, Morgan and with all of Jane's many friends in 2-19 expressing pride in her many accomplishments with best wishes for 2-20 much happiness in retirement. 2-21 ______________________________________ 2-22 President of the Senate 2-23 I hereby certify that the above 2-24 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-25 on April 26, 1995. 3-1 ______________________________________ 3-2 Secretary of the Senate 3-3 ______________________________________ 3-4 Member, Texas Senate
