No. 794 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to 1-3 recognize Charles Brown of Austin on achieving the rank of Eagle 1-4 Scout; this fine young man joined the elite corps of Eagles recently 1-5 and was presented the coveted Eagle Badge at a Court of Honor; and 1-6 WHEREAS, Few achieve this distinguished honor; only two out 1-7 of every 100 boys in the Boy Scout program ever attain the rank of 1-8 Eagle Scout; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and 1-10 promise, Charles advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second, 1-11 First, Star, and Life classes before reaching Eagle Scout; and 1-12 WHEREAS, This personable young man has displayed leadership 1-13 through planning, developing, and conducting a service project; 1-14 he is truly a shining example to his fellow Scouts and citizens 1-15 of his community; and 1-16 WHEREAS, In being named Eagle Scout, Charles brings great 1-17 honor to himself, his family, his troop, his community, and his 1-18 state; now, therefore, be it 1-19 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-20 74th Legislature, hereby commend Charles Brown of Troop 496 on 1-21 receiving this prestigious honor and congratulate him on his 1-22 outstanding achievement; and, be it further 1-23 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-1 Eagle Scout Brown as an expression of high regard and esteem from 2-2 the Texas Senate. 2-3 ______________________________________ 2-4 President of the Senate 2-5 I hereby certify that the above 2-6 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-7 on April 26, 1995. 2-8 ______________________________________ 2-9 Secretary of the Senate 2-10 ______________________________________ 2-11 Member, Texas Senate
