    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in
    1-3  recognizing Larry Spivey who has been selected for the Outstanding
    1-4  Service award by the Cameron Area Chamber of Commerce; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Larry Spivey is well known for his exceptional work
    1-6  as a leader and artist in the Cameron community; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, A dedicated and active volunteer, Larry Spivey has
    1-8  given generously of his time to undertake a mural painting project
    1-9  on buildings in downtown Cameron; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, An exemplary and talented gentleman, Mr. Spivey
   1-11  earned a master's degree in fine arts from the University of
   1-12  Delaware and has been an artist in New York and Los Angeles; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Mr. Spivey's concern for others is legendary,
   1-14  and he has played a major role in the betterment of the Cameron
   1-15  community; now, therefore, be it
   1-16        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-17  74th Legislature, hereby commend Larry Spivey on his exceptional
   1-18  accomplishments as an artist and leading citizen and extend best
   1-19  wishes to him on his selection for an Outstanding Service award;
   1-20  and, be it further
   1-21        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   1-22  him as a token of esteem from the Texas Senate.
