No. 809 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in 1-3 recognizing Paulette Taylor, who has been selected as the recipient 1-4 of the Georgetown Sertoma Club's 1995 Service to Mankind Award; and 1-5 WHEREAS, The award is given annually to honor citizens who 1-6 have made exceptional contributions to the Georgetown community; 1-7 and 1-8 WHEREAS, A widow who has raised two sons, Paulette Taylor 1-9 gives generously of her time and energy to innumerable 1-10 organizations; she is also a 24-year veteran teacher at Carver 1-11 Elementary School; and 1-12 WHEREAS, She has been active on the Citizen's Memorial 1-13 Committee, Georgetown Hospital Board, United Way Board, Mayor's 1-14 Task Force, and Citizens Advisory Committee to the Police 1-15 Department; and 1-16 WHEREAS, A devout Christian and a member of the Friendly 1-17 Will Baptist Church, she has provided support and leadership for 1-18 the Senior Mission 2, a youth organization and youth council; and 1-19 WHEREAS, An exemplary and distinguished lady, 1-20 Paulette Taylor is a highly respected leader in the Georgetown 1-21 community, and through her exceptional talent and generosity, 1-22 she touches the lives of many; now, therefore, be it 1-23 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-1 74th Legislature, hereby commend Paulette Taylor on her many 2-2 accomplishments and extend congratulations to her on earning 2-3 the Service to Mankind Award; and, be it further 2-4 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-5 her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. 2-6 ______________________________________ 2-7 President of the Senate 2-8 I hereby certify that the above 2-9 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-10 on April 26, 1995. 2-11 ______________________________________ 2-12 Secretary of the Senate 2-13 ______________________________________ 2-14 Member, Texas Senate
