    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in
    1-3  recognizing Melanie Shuffield for her many contributions to the
    1-4  Cameron community while serving as president of the Cameron Area
    1-5  Chamber of Commerce; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Ms. Shuffield was awarded a plaque of appreciation
    1-7  by the chamber for her hard work, loyal service, and outstanding
    1-8  leadership; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, During her tenure as president, the chamber
   1-10  undertook numerous civic projects and helped to find solutions
   1-11  to community problems; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Melanie Shuffield's concern for others is legendary,
   1-13  and she has played a major role in the betterment of the Cameron
   1-14  community; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, An exemplary and distinguished lady, Melanie Shuffield
   1-16  is a highly respected leader in the Cameron community, and through
   1-17  her exceptional talent and generosity, she touches the lives of many;
   1-18  now, therefore, be it
   1-19        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-20  74th Legislature, hereby commend Melanie Shuffield for her many
   1-21  accomplishments as president of the Cameron Area Chamber of
   1-22  Commerce; and, be it further
   1-23        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-1  her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
