    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                        Patricia Arnold Martin
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
    1-6  of Bryan in mourning the loss of Patricia Arnold Martin who died
    1-7  April 1, 1995, at the age of 45; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born on November 12, 1949, in Tyler, she graduated
    1-9  from Texas Tech University in 1968; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Pat worked in Houston until moving to Bryan in
   1-11  1976; a devoted wife and mother, she took every opportunity to
   1-12  volunteer for work in public schools and for church and youth
   1-13  functions; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Pat was a homemaker who supported her husband in
   1-15  his career and created a loving home for their children; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, An eager and enthusiastic lady who filled her life
   1-17  with service to others, Pat was past treasurer of Cub Scout Troop
   1-18  977, assistant treasurer of the Bryan Little League North, and
   1-19  team mother for soccer and baseball teams in the Bryan leagues; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, She was an active volunteer in the VIP program at
   1-21  Johnson Elementary School; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, A woman with strong religious convictions, Pat was a
   1-23  member of Saint Anthony's Catholic Church; and
    2-1        WHEREAS, A respected and beloved member of her community,
    2-2  Pat Martin will be remembered for her love for and service to her
    2-3  family, her church, and her community; and
    2-4        WHEREAS, She leaves a legacy of compassion and commitment
    2-5  that will remain cherished by those with whom she lived and worked;
    2-6  now, therefore, be it
    2-7        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-8  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the members
    2-9  of her family:  her husband, Fred Martin; her sons, Andrew Martin
   2-10  and Adam Martin; her daughter, Allison Martin; her sister,
   2-11  Jan Arnold; her brothers, Steve Arnold and Tommy Arnold; and her
   2-12  parents, Donna Arnold and A. D. Arnold, Jr.; and, be it further
   2-13        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her
   2-14  family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate,
   2-15  and when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
   2-16  Patricia Arnold Martin.
