1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION
1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
1-3 recognize the Tarrant County Medical Society and Tarrant County
1-4 Medical Alliance who are celebrating the alliance's 75th anniversary
1-5 at a Joint Installation of Officers for the 1995-1996 year; and
1-6 WHEREAS, Dr. Robert W. Sloane, Jr., who is to be installed as
1-7 President of the Tarrant County Medical Society, continues to
1-8 represent the views of its membership on health care reform; and
1-9 WHEREAS, Recognized as a leader in his field, Dr. Sloane now
1-10 will have an opportunity to continue to share his considerable
1-11 knowledge and expertise with his professional colleagues in this
1-12 esteemed leadership role; and
1-13 WHEREAS, He is to be commended on the many significant
1-14 contributions he has made and will make as a physician and as the
1-15 incoming President of the Tarrant County Medical Society to the
1-16 betterment of his community and state; and
1-17 WHEREAS, The past president, Dr. James F. Herd, now
1-18 passes the gavel to Dr. Sloane in order that he may continue to
1-19 lead the Tarrant County Medical Society in furthering the ideas
1-20 of professionalism and compassion for which this organization
1-21 stands and to promote exemplary health care for the residents of
1-22 Tarrant County; now, therefore, be it
1-23 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
2-1 74th Legislature, hereby congratulate Dr. Robert W. Sloane, Jr.,
2-2 on his assumption of the office of President of the Tarrant County
2-3 Medical Society; and, be it further
2-4 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2-5 Dr. Sloane as an expression of the high regard of the Texas Senate.
