No. 824 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Tarrant County Medical Society and Tarrant County 1-3 Medical Society Alliance celebrate the alliance's 75th Anniversary at 1-4 a Joint Installation of Officers for the 1995-1996 year; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Debby Brown, 1994-1995 President of the Tarrant County 1-6 Medical Society Alliance, led the "auxiliary" to change its name 1-7 to alliance so as to be consistent with the state Texas Medical 1-8 Association Alliance; and 1-9 WHEREAS, In her role as president of the Tarrant County Medical 1-10 Alliance, Debby has worked diligently to refine the invaluable role 1-11 of the Medical Society Alliance to promote exemplary health care and 1-12 to provide outstanding educational information to the community and 1-13 unwavering support for the Tarrant County Medical Society; and 1-14 WHEREAS, To demonstrate this support, the members of the 1-15 Tarrant County Medical Alliance honored their spouses at a Doctor's 1-16 Day Brunch; and 1-17 WHEREAS, As president, Debby enlightened and informed the 1-18 health care community on various issues of importance including 1-19 guiding the sponsorship of a Family Violence Seminar for health care 1-20 providers to become aware of the health aspects of spousal abuse; and 1-21 WHEREAS, Debby's enthusiasm was contagious, and, through 1-22 participation of the other members of the alliance, the Tarrant County 1-23 Medical Society Alliance was the largest delegation participating in 2-1 the Texas Medical Association Alliance's Capitol Check-Up in Austin; 2-2 and 2-3 WHEREAS, Debby Brown, wife of Dr. Frank E. "Chip" Brown, 2-4 now completes her term as President and passes the gavel to 2-5 President-Elect Sandy Lanier; now, therefore, be it 2-6 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-7 74th Legislature, hereby congratulate Debby Brown on her notable 2-8 accomplishments as 1994-1995 President of the Tarrant County 2-9 Medical Society Alliance and commend her for the many significant 2-10 contributions she has made to the betterment of her community; and, 2-11 be it further 2-12 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be presented to her as 2-13 an expression of the appreciation and high regard of the Texas Senate. 2-14 ______________________________________ 2-15 President of the Senate 2-16 I hereby certify that the above 2-17 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-18 on April 26, 1995. 2-19 ______________________________________ 2-20 Secretary of the Senate 2-21 ______________________________________ 2-22 Member, Texas Senate
