    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in
    1-3  recognizing Dr. James F. Herd for his outstanding work as a
    1-4  physician and as the 1994-1995 President of the Tarrant County
    1-5  Medical Society; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Devoted to the communities of Tarrant County and to
    1-7  his profession, Dr. James Herd has dedicated his life to providing
    1-8  superior health care for area residents, and he has had a profound
    1-9  impact on the field of health care in Texas; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, As President of the Tarrant County Medical Society,
   1-11  Dr. Herd has led the society through a challenging year of education
   1-12  in the face of the changing practices of medicine, and he has shared
   1-13  his considerable knowledge and his expertise with his professional
   1-14  colleagues; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, During his tenure as President, Dr. Herd has worked
   1-16  diligently to refine the role of the medical society and to further
   1-17  the ideals of professionalism for which the organization stands; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, A highly respected citizen of Tarrant County,
   1-19  Dr. Herd has distinguished himself in his profession and as
   1-20  President of the Tarrant County Medical Society, and he will
   1-21  doubtless continue to have a significant role in the field of
   1-22  health care in Tarrant County and in the state; now, therefore,
   1-23  be it
    2-1        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-2  74th Legislature, hereby commend Dr. James Herd for his invaluable
    2-3  contributions to the people of Tarrant County and the state
    2-4  during his exceptional service as this year's President of the
    2-5  Tarrant County Medical Society; and, be it further
    2-6        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him
    2-7  as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
