No. 839 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 In Memory 1-3 of 1-4 Helen Fraser McDougall 1-5 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens 1-6 of San Angelo in mourning the loss of Helen Fraser McDougall who 1-7 died April 17, 1995, at the age of 85; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Born February 28, 1910, in Llano, Helen Fraser 1-9 married Charles Andrew McDougall and was a resident of San Angelo 1-10 for 54 years; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Mrs. McDougall was dedicated to her work as a 1-12 homemaker and as the head cashier for Hemphill-Wells Company for 1-13 20 years until her retirement in 1974; and 1-14 WHEREAS, An exemplary lady, Helen McDougall was beloved by 1-15 all who knew her and was respected in the community for her many 1-16 accomplishments; and 1-17 WHEREAS, A woman of integrity, strength, and generosity, 1-18 she gave unselfishly of her time to others, and her wisdom, warmth, 1-19 and valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew her; and 1-20 WHEREAS, Helen McDougall was a devoted wife, mother, and 1-21 grandmother, and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured 1-22 forever by her family and many friends; now, therefore, be it 1-23 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-1 74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved 2-2 family of Helen Fraser McDougall: her daughter and son-in-law, Jan 2-3 and David Smith; her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Joy McDougall; 2-4 and her four grandchildren, three nieces, and two nephews; and, be 2-5 it further 2-6 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the 2-7 members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the 2-8 Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so 2-9 in memory of Helen Fraser McDougall. 2-10 ______________________________________ 2-11 President of the Senate 2-12 I hereby certify that the above 2-13 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-14 on April 27, 1995, by a rising vote. 2-15 ______________________________________ 2-16 Secretary of the Senate 2-17 ______________________________________ 2-18 Member, Texas Senate
