    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                          Mack L. Moore, Sr.
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas noted with sadness
    1-6  the passing of Mack L. Moore, Sr., who died on March 18, 1995; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, A native son of Texas, Mr. Moore was born on
    1-8  June 29, 1945, in Center during that magical period after the war
    1-9  when America was flush with the success of victory and imbued
   1-10  all her children with a happy optimism about life, which was
   1-11  reflected in the enthusiasm, hard work, and dedication which
   1-12  Mack Moore brought to his daily existence; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Mr. Moore was a respected gentleman who was integral
   1-14  to his society, and his varied achievements contributed to the
   1-15  growth and progress of his community; he endeared himself to those
   1-16  who worked with him through his friendship and camaraderie; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, A devoted husband and father, who inspired confidence
   1-18  in all around him, he was married to Verlene Patton Moore, and the
   1-19  couple shared with one another a joyous extended family; now,
   1-20  therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-22  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to his
   1-23  family:  his wife, Verlene Patton Moore; his mother,
    2-1  Annie B. Daniels Moore; his daughters, Maxine Moore, Vickie Moore,
    2-2  and Ginger Moore; his stepsons, Bobby D. Buckley and Rodney Patton;
    2-3  and his stepdaughter, Barbara Buckley; and, be it further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for his
    2-5  family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate,
    2-6  and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory
    2-7  of Mack L. Moore, Sr.
