    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Juanita Lewis and John Samuel Kelly placed
    1-3  great faith and trust in the future when they married on
    1-4  December 24, 1945, and they have been rewarded as this year
    1-5  they are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during
    1-7  the years of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Kelly have
    1-8  steadfastly embraced traditional family and moral values;
    1-9  and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger
   1-11  in their love and devotion as together they have experienced
   1-12  the joys and sorrows of everyday living; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly have been blessed with
   1-14  a wonderful family; their children, Jack and Anita Kelly,
   1-15  Nancy and John Belz, Mary and Jim Crites, Barbara Kelly, and
   1-16  Carolyn Kelly, and their four grandchildren have been a source
   1-17  of much pride and joy; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, John Kelly is a retired physicist who is active
   1-19  in community service; he is an arbitrator for the Better Business
   1-20  Bureau and is a volunteer for numerous local and statewide
   1-21  Democratic candidates; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, Juanita Kelly is a talented artist who spends
   1-23  much of her time china painting and is active in Saint Mark's
    2-1  United Methodist Church; and
    2-2        WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Kelly
    2-3  is truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it
    2-4        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-5  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
    2-6  Mr. and Mrs. John Kelly on their 50th wedding anniversary
    2-7  December 24, 1995; and, be it further
    2-8        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-9  this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in
   2-10  their lives.
