    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary is a splendid occasion and
    1-3  calls for much celebration; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, John H. Wallace, Jr. and W. Evelyn Blackburn Wallace
    1-5  have reason to rejoice; since their marriage on April 23, 1945, in
    1-6  Miami, Florida, they have spent 50 years together in love and
    1-7  devotion; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, The family and friends of this beloved couple joined
    1-9  them at the home of Mike and JoAnn Wallace to congratulate them and
   1-10  share in their warmth and joy; the event was hosted
   1-11  by their family; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, The loving respect Evelyn and John share with one
   1-13  another is evident to all who are fortunate enough to know them; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, This happy couple has been blessed with a wonderful
   1-15  family:  their children Mike and JoAnn Wallace, Bill and Anne Morton,
   1-16  Gerald and Patty Luecke, and Doug and Mary Jean Ackert; and their
   1-17  grandchildren; now, therefore, be it
   1-18        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-19  74th Legislature, hereby join the relatives and friends of
   1-20  Mr. and Mrs. John H. Wallace, Jr., in extending to them best wishes
   1-21  and congratulations on their golden wedding anniversary; and, be it
   1-22  further
   1-23        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for this
    2-1  distinguished couple as a memento of this grand occasion.
