    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in
    1-3  recognizing Gena Denise Woodard for her selection as Wichita Falls
    1-4  Independent School District's Teacher of the Year, 1994-1995; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Gena Woodard has been a teacher at Washington/Jackson
    1-6  Math/Science Technology Center for seven years, specializing in
    1-7  English and spelling; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, A 1987 graduate of Midwestern State University, she
    1-9  is a member of the Association of Texas Professional Educators and
   1-10  Delta Kappa Gamma, Beta Rho Chapter; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, An exceptionally resourceful and dedicated teacher,
   1-12  Gena Woodard has assisted with a wide array of student activities
   1-13  over the years and has distinguished herself in her profession;
   1-14  and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Her students have greatly benefitted from her
   1-16  skillful teaching methods, sincere concern for the individual, and
   1-17  wise counsel and encouragement; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, Gena Denise Woodard is a talented instructor and
   1-19  leader, and she instills in her students a sense of pride and a
   1-20  lifelong love of learning; now, therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-22  74th Legislature, hereby commend Gena Denise Woodard for her superb
   1-23  contributions to the educational system of Texas and extend best
    2-1  wishes to her for many rewarding years ahead; and, be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her
    2-3  as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
