    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure
    1-3  in recognizing Julia Ketner for her selection as Wichita Falls
    1-4  Independent School District's Teacher of the Year, 1994-1995; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, This reading, English, and music specialist has
    1-6  been a teacher at Ben Milam Elementary School for six years and
    1-7  has spent 16 years teaching in Texas schools; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Having been graduated from Texas Woman's University
    1-9  with a bachelor of science degree in education in 1971, she belongs
   1-10  to the Association for Texas Professional Educators; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, An exceptionally resourceful and dedicated teacher,
   1-12  Julia Ketner has assisted with a wide array of student activities
   1-13  over the years and has distinguished herself in her profession; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Innumerable students have greatly benefitted from
   1-15  her skillful teaching methods, sincere concern for the individual,
   1-16  and wise counsel and encouragement; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, This award-winning educator is a talented instructor
   1-18  and leader, who instills in her students a sense of pride and a
   1-19  lifelong love of learning; now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-21  74th Legislature, hereby commend Julia Ketner for her superb
   1-22  contributions to the educational system of Texas and extend best
   1-23  wishes to her for many rewarding years ahead; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her
    2-2  as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
