    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in
    1-3  recognizing Kim Meyer for being selected as Wichita Falls Independent
    1-4  School District's Teacher of the Year, 1994-1995; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, This versatile early education specialist has been
    1-6  a teacher at Cunningham Elementary School for three years and
    1-7  has earned a bachelor of arts degree in art education from Central
    1-8  State University and a master of science degree in deaf education
    1-9  from the University of Oklahoma in 1980; she belongs to numerous
   1-10  professional associations, especially those which concentrate on
   1-11  early intervention for hearing-impaired children; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, An exceptionally resourceful and dedicated teacher,
   1-13  Kim Meyer has brought special skills to the classroom and has been
   1-14  distinguished in the profession; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Young students have greatly benefitted from such
   1-16  skillful teaching methods, sincere concern for the individual, and
   1-17  wise counsel and encouragement; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, Kim Meyer is a talented instructor and leader, who
   1-19  instills in students a sense of pride and a lifelong love of
   1-20  learning; now, therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-22  74th Legislature, hereby commend Kim Meyer for superb contributions
   1-23  to the educational system of Texas and extend best wishes to her for
    2-1  many rewarding years ahead; and, be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-3  Kim Meyer as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
