    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure
    1-3  in recognizing Leigh Boatman for being chosen as Wichita Falls
    1-4  Independent School District's Teacher of the Year, 1994-1995; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Leigh has been a teacher at Lamar Elementary
    1-6  School for two years and also has a year of experience at
    1-7  Dawson Elementary School; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Leigh received a bachelor's degree from
    1-9  The University of Texas in 1992 and is currently enrolled in
   1-10  a Midwestern State University program in counseling; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, An exceptionally resourceful and dedicated teacher,
   1-12  Leigh has assisted with a wide array of student activities over
   1-13  the years and has become distinguished within the profession; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Many students have greatly benefitted from Leigh's
   1-15  skillful teaching methods, sincere concern for the individual,
   1-16  and wise counsel and encouragement; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Leigh Boatman is a talented instructor and leader,
   1-18  who instills in students a sense of pride and a lifelong love of
   1-19  learning; now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-21  74th Legislature, hereby commend Leigh Boatman for superb
   1-22  contributions to the educational system of Texas and extend
   1-23  best wishes for many rewarding years ahead; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-2  Leigh as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
