No. 1018 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Air Force Reserve Ground Combat Readiness 1-3 Center, Bergstrom Air Reserve Station, Austin, Texas, has provided 1-4 valuable counterdrug training programs to law enforcement agencies 1-5 throughout the State of Texas since 1991; and 1-6 WHEREAS, This training has been provided at no cost to over 1-7 1,000 law enforcement officers in Texas since its establishment; 1-8 and 1-9 WHEREAS, This training has been recognized as a significant 1-10 contribution to the war on drugs within Texas; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Members of the Ground Combat Readiness Center have 1-12 given hundreds of hours of support to community programs throughout 1-13 Central Texas in 1994; and 1-14 WHEREAS, The Ground Combat Readiness Center was recently 1-15 selected by the Texas Department of the Reserve Officer Association 1-16 as the 1994 Outstanding Air Force Reserve unit in Texas; and 1-17 WHEREAS, The Ground Combat Readiness Center is currently in 1-18 competition for selection as the Outstanding Reserve Security 1-19 Police unit in the United States Air Force for 1994; and 1-20 WHEREAS, It is recognized that the Air Force Reserve Ground 1-21 Combat Readiness Center has demonstrated high standards of mission 1-22 effectiveness and service to communities throughout the 1-23 State of Texas; now, therefore, be it 2-1 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-2 74th Legislature, hereby proclaim May 13, 1995, "Ground Combat 2-3 Readiness Center Day" and commend the men and women of the Air 2-4 Force Reserve Ground Combat Readiness Center of Bergstrom Air 2-5 Reserve Station for their exceptional contributions to the citizens 2-6 of the United States. 2-7 ______________________________________ 2-8 President of the Senate 2-9 I hereby certify that the above 2-10 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-11 on May 10, 1995. 2-12 ______________________________________ 2-13 Secretary of the Senate 2-14 ______________________________________ 2-15 Member, Texas Senate
