    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in
    1-3  commending Carla Sabbagh on her recent recognition for excellence
    1-4  in writing in the Scholastic Writing Awards of 1995 Contest; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, A seventh grader at the Hebrew Academy, Carla
    1-6  is one of the 100 Harris County winners in the contest, which
    1-7  is cosponsored by the Harris County Department of Education; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, A talented and industrious student, Carla is a
    1-9  model for students of all ages in the State of Texas; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, An exemplary young lady with an engaging personality,
   1-11  Carla strives for excellence in all of her endeavors and is a source
   1-12  of much pride for her family, her school, and her community; now,
   1-13  therefore, be it
   1-14        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-15  74th Legislature, hereby commend Carla Sabbagh for her many
   1-16  accomplishments and extend congratulations to her on earning an
   1-17  excellence in writing award; and, be it further
   1-18        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   1-19  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
