    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride
    1-3  in commending Liat Avivi on being recognized for excellence in
    1-4  writing in the Scholastic Writing Awards of 1995 Contest; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, An eighth grader at the Hebrew Academy, Liat is
    1-6  one of the 100 Harris County winners in the contest, which is
    1-7  cosponsored by the Harris County Department of Education; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, A talented and industrious student, Liat is a model
    1-9  for students of all ages in the State of Texas; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, An exemplary young lady with an engaging
   1-11  personality, Liat strives for excellence in all of her endeavors
   1-12  and is a source of much pride for her family, her school, and her
   1-13  community; now, therefore, be it
   1-14        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-15  74th Legislature, hereby commend Liat Avivi for her many
   1-16  accomplishments and extend congratulations to her on earning an
   1-17  excellence in writing award; and, be it further
   1-18        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her
   1-19  as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
