    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The National Auctioneers Foundation is the
    1-3  charitable organization serving the National Auctioneers
    1-4  Association; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, The National Auctioneers Foundation provides
    1-6  assistance to professional auctioneers by helping promote the
    1-7  "Auction Method of Marketing in Texas as well as throughout the
    1-8  United States"; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Many Texas auctioneers participate as members of the
   1-10  National Auctioneers Association, which automatically makes them
   1-11  members of the National Auctioneers Foundation, and presently
   1-12  several Texas auctioneers are in leadership positions with the
   1-13  National Auctioneers Association as well as the National
   1-14  Auctioneers Foundation; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, An effort is being made by the National Auctioneers
   1-16  Foundation to establish a large endowment to help with the
   1-17  educational and benevolent needs of professional auctioneers and
   1-18  their families and employees in Texas and across the United States;
   1-19  and
   1-20        WHEREAS, The efforts of the National Auctioneers Foundation
   1-21  truly merit special recognition; now, therefore, be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-23  74th Legislature, hereby commend the National Auctioneers Foundation
    2-1  for its outstanding efforts in the field of preserving history,
    2-2  promoting the auction method of marketing, providing education and
    2-3  training, and providing assistance to professional auctioneers and
    2-4  their families and staff; and, be it further
    2-5        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
    2-6  National Auctioneers Foundation as an expression of esteem from the
    2-7  Texas Senate.
